Away from their official duties, barangay officials, Sangguniang Kabataan officers and city government employees will enjoy a whole-day of fun under the sun as Bangus Festival 2006 features Laro ng Lahi, an Inter-Barangay and Inter-Department Fun Games on April 22 at Bonuan Tondaligan beach.

Councilors Vladimir Mata and Charise Perez chair the event.

?This will be a perfect time for our public servants to unwind, and at the same time develop a strong rapport with one another,? Mata said.

Perez pointed out that the activity aims to promote leadership among city government employees and officials of the city. ?We are also holding this to nurture cooperation, cohesion and team chemistry,? she added.

The activity will engage participants in several fun games that everyone will surely enjoy. The activity will include traditional games which have been loved and patronized by Filipinos over the years.

For the participants to enjoy the activity and be comfortable, they are enjoined to come in their summer suits.

After the games, a fellowship party will be set at the Mayor?s Shed.

Participants to the one-day activity will be divided into the following clusters:

Cluster 1: Bacayao Sur, Caranglaan, Bolosan, Lasip Grande, Calmay, accounting office, city budget, city legal office, city prosecutor?s office, market division and Philippine National Police.

Cluster 2: Bacayao Norte, Barangay 2&3, Mamalingling, Lucao, Carael, barangay accounting/accounting annex, civil registrar?s office, city information office, city social welfare office, city veterinary office and public order and safety office (POSO)

Cluster 3: Barangay IV, Bonuan Binloc, Pogo Chico, Pogo Grande, Lomboy, general services office, city engineer?s office, city mayor?s office, city tourism office, commission on audit, and registry of deeds.

Cluster 4: Mayombo, Pantal, Barangay 1, Mangin, Bonuan Gueset, city administrator?s office, sangguniang panlungsod, city nutrition office, city treasurer?s office, commission on elections, and waste management division.

Cluster 5: Herrero-Perez, Poblacion Oeste, Tambac, Malued, Salapingao, city agriculture, city health office, city planning and development office, city cash division, Department of Interior and Local Government, and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)

Cluster 6: Lasip Chico, Salisay, Tebeng, Tapuac, Pugaro, Bonuan Boquig, city assessor?s office, city library, city population office, city land tax division and one-stop-business center.
